Beautifully restored by Helen Mitchetschläger, with a new neck and scroll made by Helen herself. This violin has also had a new bass bar, which has vastly improved it's potential, and a complete new set up, including a new fingerboard made to measure.
The Neuner and Hornsteiner workshop was founded through a partnership between Mathias Neuner (IV) and Cantius Hornsteiner in the early 19th century. It grew to employ over 200 workers at its zenith before finally going out of business in the 1930’s. Instruments from N&H are highly regarded for their quality of build and character of sound and are keenly sought after by players and collectors alike.
