Helen Michetschläger Cello, 1985

Bought by a member of the Summers family after it was made and owned by the family ever since, this gorgeous cello with rich red varnish and a depth of tone and character to match is a fine example of Helen's early work. Helen Mitchetschläger is a much sought after English maker who works to commission only. Her cellos are rarely available for sale.

This cello has been lovingly serviced and given a brand new set up by one of our luthiers at Stamford Strings. It is set up with Larsen strings. It comes with a letter written by the maker herself to Mr Summers about the cello.
