Sonorous, deep and rich sounding. This German antique cello has had a new set up. New fingerboard, nut, bridge, soundpost, pegs, stunning ebony tailpiece and new strings. All previous work has been checked and a detailed sound adjustment has been completed to bring out this cello's wonderful voice.

Rich browns and tan varnish that has been highly polished. This gives the cello its wonderful antique character.

the set up

Set up with Pirastro Obligato (C,G,D) and Permanent (A) Strings, ebony parisienne eye pegs and an ebony integrated adjuster tailpiece. ​A high grade Despiau bridge, handcut to fit by one of our luthiers. The set up has been sound tested, adjusted and refined over weeks.
