GERMAN ANTIQUE LABELLED 'DUKE'

It was common for German makers in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century to make copies of 'Duke' violins. This German violin is well made, with a heavy antiqued finish and bags of character.  The violin is set up with dominant strings and ebony fittings. Warm, mellow tone.
