Getting to Know and Looking After Your Violin, Viola or Cello
An advanced hands on course in small groups of up to eight participants with refreshments (tea, coffee or soft drink, healthy snack).
The three week course will be held on Tuesdays from 5pm - 6.30pm at Stamford Strings and is for intermediate and advanced players who would like a better understanding of how their instruments works, how to deal with common issues themselves and carry out minor adjustments to the bridge, pegs, nut and tailpiece to keep the instrument in tip top playing condition at all times. We will also cover string fitting, and extra things you can do when fitting strings to improve the settling in period and avoid disturbing the set up.
Please bring your instrument with you. We recommend having an appointment with us before the course to check the instrument's health prior to attending the course.
